#11 "The Beatles: 1966"
- The Art
- My inspiration to want to be involved with
Submarines on Parade was sort of natural in a creative sense. Initially, I
hoped to get a friend involved. Then, when I was told that no one as the
time was doing the "Yello Submarine" theme I thought about it and
said, "I'm in." Although I think the Council doubted my ability, I
had to make sure I did what I set out to do. My true intention was to
promote the Beatles. As time goes by I think some of the impact of the
Beatles can be forgotten if there are not enough people paying homage to
their pioneering success.
- Ray Grossi
- The Artist
- Ray is an advertising executive with the New
Haven Register and a friend of the Milford Fine Arts Council.
Submarines on Parade captured his imagination while he was helping the
Council recruit artists for the project and he can now add "sub
artist" to his impressive resume.
