#6 "Ship Of Dreams"
- The Art
- The intrepid John Allen inspired me to get out of
the office and come to the Sub Launch gathering in May. As soon as I saw the
model, I knew I had to paint one. Being the mom of a kindergartner, I
immediately thought of my son (and soon to be painter's assistant, Benjamin
Ruscoe) and decided to use an outer space/nighttime theme. I asked Bill
Meddick who, after he got over his shock, said "yes." The rest, as
they say, is history.
- JeriAnn M. Geller
- The Artist
- JeriAnn is a writer, editor and illustrator who
has enjoyed wearing many professional hats. Enthralled with illustration at
an early age, JeriAnn studied at SUNY Brockport, the University of
Bridgeport and the New School for Social Research in pursuit of her dream of
becoming a picture book illustrator and writer. Creating her own books
remains a goal, which she pursues while wearing the hats of editor, writer,
and garden columnist for Elm City Newspapers.
