#4 "Goliath"
- The Art
- We sat and stared at our blank submarine and tried
to imagine a far-out predicament for it. We agreed on an octopus because the
legs would add drama and action and lead the viewer around the submarine.
The challenge was fabricating it. Nor'easter Yachts was invaluable in
sharing their expertise on fiberglass and polyurethane resin. It's a smelly,
nasty and unforgiving medium (the resin actually smoked at one point - too
much catalyst - and we both got rashes from the fiberglass) but we were very
pleased with the results.
- Margaret and Ed Galeano
- The Artists
- Margaret (Kasper) is a life-long Milford
resident and a freelance graphic designer who works primarily creating
recruiting materials for various local universities. She belongs to the
Foran High School Football Moms Club. Ed is a registered architect who works
for a firm in Purchase, NY that specializes in corporate interiors, but he'd
rather be golfing. Their son Joe is a junior at Foran. Margaret and Ed are
hoping to celebrate their 20th anniversary in Europe next spring. They enjoy
being active members of the Kingdom Life Christian Church.
